Having made his debut in the BTCC in 2010, this will be Lloyd's first full-campaign in the championship having previously only competed in 15 rounds.
Lloyd's last venture in the championship came in 2018 when he replaced James Nash at BTC Norlin Racing Honda squad and saw out the remaining 10 weekends with the team. At the Reverse Grid race at Croft saw Lloyd win on home soil and end the season with consistent results to place 18th overall with 87 points.
Stepping away from the BTCC in 2019, Lloyd competed in the TCR Europe Touring Car Series with the Brutal Fish Racing Team. Piloting the Honda Civic Type R FK8 took three wins and four other podium finishes in his 23 race starts.
Lloyd said: “I’m mega excited to be racing back in the UK. This will be the first time I’ll be heading into the championship with some pre-season testing under my belt.
"I’ve always been thrown in at the deep end a little bit, so I can’t wait to get stuck into the programme."
"I’m really looking to build on this as a long-term partnership and launch a multi-year attack on the championship heavyweights.”
Lloyd's confimation at Power Maxed Racing only leaves two seats left on the BTCC grid for this season. However, both seats, one at Team Hard Cupra and Team Dynamics Honda, are set to be taken.
