It will be Oliphant's fourth season in the BTCC after a rookie season in 2018 with Ciceley Motorsport before signing with WSR for 2019. Last season, he scored his maiden win at Brands Hatch en route to finishing sixth in the Championship with 228 points.
WSR Boss Dick Bennetts said: "Tom made a big step forwards in 2020, which I think was largely down to having a year's experience under his belt with the rear-wheel-drive BMW and is feeling ready to push himself to the next level."
Oliphant's efforts last year helped Team BMW secure the Team's Championship for a third time in four seasons.
The 2015 Ginetta GT4 Supercup Champion will be aiming to secure more wins and podiums in an attempt to launch a championship challenge which saw team-mate Turkington finish runner-up last yera behind Ashley Sutton.
In an exclusive interview with Pitlane to Podium, Oliphant really enjoyed the challenge of last year's championship and the competition he faced.
He said: "I’m going to take a lot of positives, got my first win, a lot of podiums, my pace was better than the previous year, my race craft was better than the previous year and I scored a hell of a lot more points."
"I want to be in the title fight properly come the final round."
