LEWIS Hamilton, Charles Leclerc and Pierre Gasly have been disqualified from the Chinese Grand Prix with the two Ferrari's and Alpine driver falling foul of post-race technical checks.
Hamilton, who had won the Sprint Race on Saturday morning, claimed sixth place with Ferrari team-mate Leclerc finishing ahead of the Seven Time World Champion in fifth.
Alpine's Pierre Gasly finished in 11th after starting the race down in 16th having been knocked-out in Q1.
However, all three drivers have lost their results for two different scrutineering checks carried out by the FIA's technical delegate.
Firstly, Leclerc, Gasly and their team representatives were summoned to the stewards over alleged breaches of Article 4.1 of the Technical Regulations which relates to the weight of the car.
It was found that Leclerc and Gasly's cars were 1kg lighter than they should be - with both cars at 799kg each instead of the mandatory 800kg.
Ferrari's nightmare continued as Hamilton and his Ferrari representative were summoned to the stewards after it was found that the Brit's rear skid block was underneath the minimum thickness required.
FALLING FOUL: For the first time in their long history in the sport (dating back to 1950) Ferrari have had both of their cars disqualified from the race result
The minimum thickness of the plank assembly is required to be 9mm. However, on Hamilton's SF-25, it was revealed it was under the requirement with the rearward skid to be 8.6mm on the left-hand side, 8.6mm on the centreline and only 8.5mm on the right-hand side.
The exclusion of the three drivers promotes Esteban Ocon to fifth, Kimi Antonelli to sixth, Alexander Albon to seventh, Oliver Bearman to eighth while Lance Stroll and Carlos Sainz Jr benefit to point-paying positions despite finishing behind Gasly.
Ferrari lose the 18 points they had originally scored with Leclerc and Hamilton in fifth and sixth - with the result dropping the team to fifth in the Championship, behind Williams and just after two races (and one sprint) to 61 points adrift of McLaren.
